After graduating from college, waterfall was the main software development approach. Over the years, more flexible and adaptive ways of working were brought to the IT Industry. Nowadays, software development is overwhelmingly done with the Agile Methodologies and Lean Process Improvement.

Scrum.org offers many Agile and Lean certifications. I’m a Project Manager and to help me helping teams, here’s the list of certifications that I’ve passed so far:
Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS)
Nexus is a framework for developing and sustaining scaled product and software delivery initiatives. It
uses Scrum as its building block.

Professional Scrum with Kanban (PSK 1)
The flow-based perspective of Kanban can enhance and complement the Scrum framework and
its implementation. Teams can add complementary Kanban practises whether they are just
starting to use Scrum or have been using it all along.

Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO 1)
Product owner is a Scrum development role for a person who represents the business or user community and is responsible for working with the user group to determine what features will be in the product release.

Professional Scrum Master (PSM 1)
A scrum master is the facilitator for an agile development team. Scrum is a methodology that allows a team to self-organize and make changes quickly, in accordance with agile principles. The scrum master manages the process for how information is exchanged.

IT Service Management is the activities that are performed by an organization to design, plan, deliver, operate and control information technology services offered to customers.
ITIL 4 Foundation
ITIL 4 provides an emphasis on the business and technology world, how it works today, and how it will work in the future with Agile, DevOps and digital transformation.

Lean Six Sigma
Lean is a wide topic to cover. Originally a method developed at Toyota in Japan, it is now used all over the world for process improvement.
Although I’m currently a Lean-Six Sigma While Belt, I was thoroughly introduced to the Lean philosophy and the set of Lean practices such as A3, S5, Kaizen, waste management, continuous improvement, workflow, process mapping, etc.
